Cataclysm is available from GOG as well, under the name Homeworld: Emergence. They were able to resurrect the game but there was some argument over the name copyright.

'Homeworld:Cataclysm' always gets left out because they lost the source code for that game. Still my favorite of the series- great story and had gameplay additions that I miss in the other titles.

First up, these games are just phenomenal, and overall a well done remaster. They did move both games to the same engine, so some of the mechanics got altered in HW1, but you can always go back to the original which is a part of the bundle. At this price for sure, zero hesitation recommending it to any RTS fan who somehow hasn't played it before.

Start with #1. Both for the story and also IMO #1 has a superior feel/environment to #2. #2 has improved combat mechanics so don't do #2 then #1.

Homeworld 1 & 2 remastered are 7 years old, but they have a lot of great full conversion mods, like ones that turn the game into Star Wars or Battlestar Galactica. Just today I discovered that Homeworld 3 is in the works and due to come out at the end of the year.
