I recall years ago, when flat panels first started becoming popular.
Wall mounts were quite expensive $70+ and I don't mean the full-motion articulating kind... those were a few C-notes.

That mount frame looks way too skinny and flimsy for a big TV. It's generally not a great idea to go cheap on a wall mount when putting a $1000 electronic device on it. Plenty of good options out there for $25-75

If you're getting $1000 plus TV likely it's going to be super thin and light and these won't be any issue. I use these a lot because I like how flush they are to the wall.

The disparity in quality between a $75 wall mount and a $15 wall mount is not what you think it is.

Comparing similar models by shipping weight is a relatively good measure of which ones have cut corners or used heinously light gauge steel

Heavier steel does not equate to stronger metal.

Our boys are in a bonus room above a garage so the walls slope inward with the roof. We have not been successful in finding a "reverse" angling TV mounting bracket that can essentially tip upwards in order to balance out the slope of the ceiling and hang the TV vertically. In other words if such a bracket was mounted on a vertical wall it would angle the TV up, whereas mounted on the sloped ceiling it will simply cancel out the slope and hang the TV vertically. There are many such brackets which tip down, but they seem to rely on hanging methods which can't be inverted 180° and used upside down. Any ideas?
