Before anyone comments on how good or bad the Lowes mulch is, please be aware that mulch is sourced semi-locally, so the quality of the mulch bought by one SDer will not be the same as another's.

No more cheap Lowes/Home Depot mulch for me.

A few years ago, I got artillery fungus, that was shooting black dots all over my siding, my deck, deck rails, etc. Those tiny black spots are impossible to remove!! That fungus can shoot black dots up as high as 8 feet!

I've since gone with straight cedar mulch delivered - bugs hate it, fungus does not seem to grow in it, and it does a great job keeping weeds down. Plus, the smell is AWESOME!

It sucks in RI, I've bought during these sales for years, filled with pallet chunks/plastic/and mold. Finally going to stop doing that, and just get it delivered from a local landscape place.

lowes mulch is fine in so cal. Scotts is better and gives more per cuft, but this $2 price is gold right now. Won't ever see this again..
