This Gigabyte A5 K1 and Gigabyte A5 X1 are essentially exactly the same laptop with K1 is with RTX 3060 and X1 is with RTX 3070 and slightly better cooling to handle the extra wattage. The other specifications like Display, CPU and the TDP limits, storage options, Keyboard etc., all are same. Below is the official Spec from Gigabyte: https://www.gigabyte.com/Laptop/A...ries/sp#sp

Now that the 3060 video cards are starting to be in stock again we should see laptops drop to reasonable prices too. $1000+ for a 3060 laptop still isn't a reasonable price.
One thing to note, is that the 25% tariff on GPU's ended (ironically) on April 1st. You should expect to see a lot more laptops/video cards in stock and either MSRP or finally see some real slick deals. If you need a laptop *right this second* the spec's don't seem that bad. If you can wait I would at least for a little while longer while more and more companies lower their prices. Also, I can't remember which top post it was but I think I remember someone roasting Gigabyte's laptops. Could be wrong though, and I apologize if so.
This laptop is an excellent deal, but I will not buy anything from Newegg ever again for various reasons.
Is there any chance the exact model is the same price elsewhere?
I haven't had a problem with Newegg but if you have then try price matching with Best Buy , Target, Amazon or other sellers that have a price match policy.

Amazon does not price match. Best Buy I don't believe will match an online retailer, but that may be different now. But that's a good idea 💡

I don't need a new laptop this second. I WANT one, but you're right, prices are only going to go down more. It's prudent to wait a few weeks and see what happens. It's not easy to do, but I'm reasonably sure we're just beginning to see deals. Plus, as more 12th gen Intel versions come out, prices will fall on i7 11800H and similar models.
