I'm done buying Nintendo Switch games at release. Seems like the releases lately hit $30 after a few months. Nintendo use to never discount games.
Keep in mind that's because most of their recent releases are re re rereleases lol

That's a good thing….you're supporting the creation of future entertainment for yourself….

Buying everything on sale guarantees no more big games. Developers can put 100M+ into a game only if they make an acceptable return on the investment. Obviously this isn't a game they spent anywhere near that much on, but my point is about games in general.

Buying games at launch increases the likelihood you see a sequel or another game similar to what you just got.

Every time a game is released it was created by spending tens or hundreds of millions of dollars. If the publisher doesn't earn enough you won't see anymore games like it.

You aren't just buying the game, you're also voting for sequels essentially.

I'll do you one better. I have this exact game..still wrapped..bought for full retail price (I think, or given as a gift) when it was ORIGINALLY released for the Wii.

Aaand..I just bought this too. WTF is wrong with me?
Getting old sucks. You have the money to buy the game but no time to enjoy the games.

You are an investor. I bet if you got the Wii one rated and it is a high 9 or 10, probably is or will be worth something with enough time. It still isn't THAT old.

Thanks for that. I was about to buy this. My wife deployed overseas in 2021 and I was determined to catch up. I played like 25% of one playthrough on GTA5 and Three Kingdoms and that's it. I've got sealed Wii games and Xbox 360 games I need to catch up on before I buy any more games. I did complete breath of the wild and Gears 4 in quarantine in 2020.

Nothing, seems pretty normal to me...

I used to be like you. Then I just stopped buying games. Between all the various free games and Gamepass (got it for the cheap on an SD) I've had more than enough to play.

$30 feels like a good deal but I'm done buying games just to add to my backlog.

This was heavily imbedded motion controls that had to be reworked, there are costs involved.

This review seems to indicate that they didn't do a competent job of reworking the motion controls:

While I do subscribe to the "wait for the price to drop" philosophy, I've been waiting on this one for over a year and this is the first time I've seen it for less than $50 (others noted it has dipped before but I must have missed it).

As many noted, supporting the games at launch helps the developers and gaming community.

So I guess what I'm really saying is heart
