Thermoworks Signals™ BBQ Alarm Thermometer with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
BBQ professionals look to Signals as the operational hub of their BBQ. Signals wirelessly pushes critical temps and alarms to your smart device and web dashboard for tracking and analysis. Add an optional Billows fan to dial in your smoker temps.
Signals ships with 3 Pro-Series® High Temp Cooking Probes, 1 Pro-Series High Temp Air Probe & Grate Clip, 12V USB Power Adapter, and 8 High Temp Silicone Color Probe Rings.
Works with ThermoWorks App
Signals also works standalone as a leave-in probe alarm without the app.

Personally I'm probably gonna go Fireboard for the following reasons:
> Notably battery
> Possibility of running 6 probes at once
> Seemingly slightly better app experience / cook tracking
> Live cooks that others can follow, if you're into that
The things I still need to understand a bit better are
> Waterproofing
> Drive fan compatibility
> Drive fan powering (I think either the Signals or the Fireboard can actually power the fan themselves, while the other one needs a plug - either way I suppose you're probably not going to get a full cook off of one battery charge if you're cooking for a longer time.)
There's at least one very good video on YouTube comparing both the Signals and Fireboard 2, and I believe there are a few good forum threads across the web that dig into the differences. I'd recommend reading up, because obviously these aren't cheap. I do think they're worth the price though if you're someone who is finicky enough to notice and appreciate the superior features and usability that Signals and Fireboard 2 offer.
Either way, I'm probably going to wait til BF this year -- hopefully FB will run a sale, but I guess I'm not gonna hold my breath, because they basically never put their stuff on sale it seems.
The app is more stable on iOS compared to Android for me
