I've been playing it since launch, but in for one for the Steel book case. Hoping 343 doesn't ruin this game.

That's fair. I buy Forza steelbook and disc when they get discounted cuz I like that series, other than that I just play on game pass.

somewhere down the road when the servers are cut off and you will only be able to play a physical copy.. Scott Pilgrim vs the World on Xbox 360/PS3 come to mind as a recent example.

Will they though? Isn't Xbox very drm and digital update heavy nowadays where the disc might not even work at that point or be an incomplete game

Don't bother buying this game. You can't replay the campaign missions and co-op keeps getting delayed. My suggestion would be to get a month of Xbox game pass, play this game, and then when you get bored of it, use the remaining game pass to try out other games that are available.

The game is decent, but for a single playthrough, it's not worth owning. The multiplayer is already free.

Correct, you HAVE to be connected to play. It's sad but all games are doing down this road.

We don't know when Coop will be available still. 343 is never clear on anything.

Forge is still a long ways out.

It's frustrating af.

can you elaborate a bit on "can't reply the campaign'?
