I wish this came in a 17" model. That's what we used for our primary home computer for years. Several of them have come from Woot also, so this is a good reminder to keep an eye on their inventory.

HP has its own insurance. This being factory refurbished increases your chances of it being available. If you never end up using the insurance they'll refund the premium you initially spent. Check their website

So far, from the reviews I have seen, the RAM is upgradable. The screws to remove the back cover/plate are underneath the rubber strips/feet which can be annoying...

Price is about right, it was at $750 new from Costco at the beginning of the year; plus Costco one has 2 yrs warranty. Should be able to upgrade RAM, but be prepared to buy expensive replacement rubber feet. From personal experience, the auto screen rotation is extremely buggy. Worked around the problem to manually rotate the screen with hotkeys defined in a free 3rd party software named iRotate.
