Don't get the flip, fancy phone, horrible battery life. Fanciness wears off, but day to day battery usage is what matters at the end. Need to charge at least 3 times a day with regular usage

I wish I hadn't bought into the iPhone hype. Lesson learnt. Now I have to wait a year and switch back. Apart from the battery if anyone is considering switching I would recommend you use one for a week.

The estimate wasn't accurate for us. It gave a long delivery date but we got it within a week of placing the order.
Which exact model, capacity, color?

You don't want to do that.

Per the Promotion Terms:
Activate the phone on a new full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation email and keep the qualifying phone active on Google Fi for 120 consecutive days.

In the past it meant the Fi SIM must remain in the phone. They will notice that the SIM is not in the S22 (even if it is active in another phone) and thus the promotion terms are not being met. In the past, they'll send you a warning email.

Would it be OK to turn off mobile data within the device settings?
Many here were saying they take the FI sim out and put it in the drawer.

Any update? What does your order page say? Mine said "May 11th" when I was ordering my Green 128GB, but now it says May 4th-6th. I hope it'll be even earlier.

I went through the process for a Black 256GB and that was estimated at April 16th, I just didn't like black as much.
Mine still says May 11-13 in my order status.

Question on the promo. I like to use a couple different phones and swap my sim between them. Depending on the day (smaller phone vs. larger, etc). Will that cause any problems with this promo if I swap the Sim between the S22 to another phone and back several times during my 4 month window?

That should be fine. I believe as long as their system doesn't see the SIM active in another device it should be fine.

And perhaps I misread earlier comment; if you removed the Fi SIM and replaced it with another SIM but are not using the Fi SIM elsewhere, it will probably be fine.

You should check the Fi savings pages. If it does not update then LOL put the sim back in. However, I don't see how that can be a problem because let's say you buy the phone and activate the SIM but turn off the phone due to whatever reason, then after 120 days you have made all the payments....then you have satisfied the conditions!

There's an area that lets you know if your still able to get it. Not sure if this is outdated because I just searched it on google but
Launch your Google Fi App.
Choose "Billing" at the bottom
Click on "Fi Saving" just below your 3 most recent bills.
If it's still valid I'd appreciate if you could let me know. I was curious if what you did would work for me too.

Guys quick question, if I get the financed option to pay monthly for the phone instead of the $300 right now, will that work if I leave Fi after 4 months?

I bought a number off of numberbarn and initiated transfer. I do not see that number listed in my numberbarn account and I'm able to make/receive calls on phone. I did accrue 1.5MB data trying to activate this number.
However, when I go to FI Savings, I still see Steps 3 (New Fi member activates device within 28 days) & Step 4 (Transfer a number to Fi) incomplete. How long does it take for this to change? I would like to remove the SIM card and start using on a different network.
Is your process still stuck on the Fi side?

Actually I contacted Fi support, they said if I ever leave Fi I would have to pay the remaining balance owed on the phone.

I just received my phone but also just auto pre-payed for a new month of metro service. Can I use this phone on Metro for a few weeks before switching to Fi and still receive the discount? I would switch to Fi within the 30 days of my order being placed
