WTH! I am ordering the S22 and google is automatically charging me an $18.99 expedited shipping fee. I don't want to pay $18.99 for expedited shipping. I just want the free standard shipping.

Tbh, good luck with this…
I ordered S22 green 128gb on Apr 11
Original deliver date was Apr 20 ~ 22
Since couple of days ago, its been pushed out by 1 day everyday. Now it says Apr 24 ~ 26
Contacting support only repeats what I see on screen and they cannot escalate because the delivery date is known even though its pushed out everday.
Just came back in stock and ordered. My delivery date is a month from your original, guess we will find out in due time..

No catch.

If you had an even more valuable phone to trade, the excess would be given in Google Fi credit on your future bills.

Was very much the case for a 2020 Black Friday deal where the gave inflated trade in values for certain phones.

Why they do/did this is up to others to conjecture, lol.
If I'm trading in, but my phone is not going to be delivered for another month, I'm assuming that the countdown for me to send my trade-in device only starts AFTER I receive my new device?

I want to Port-in two lines to Google Fi and want to get 2 * Galaxy S22 128Gb.

My friend is already on Google Fi with 2 lines. Would I qualify for the promo if I add my 2 numbers to his account or would it be denied cuz he's not a NEW Google Fi customer?

I've signed up for Google Fi earlier (more than 6 months ago) so hope my Google account and my number are treated as NEW Fi customers - can someone confirm?

If adding lines to my friend's plan wouldn't work, is my best bet to Port-in 3 lines (get one new line from Ting) for $25 a month and get a $100 BYOD credit for the 3rd line?

TIA.

I can confirm my initial order of S22 (256GB, Phantom White) placed on April 14th has been delayed a month.

Initially the order was estimated to deliver in 5 days. However, over the course of the last week, the shipping estimate date moved out a from just a few days - to most recently, an entire month.

I placed my order today 4/22 for a black 128GB S22 and the estimated delivery date is 4/27 to 4/29. Will see if that will be pushed out.

Also, for the Fi credits, are you saying that let's say I trade in my phone for $350, and I get the $300 128 GB phone, will that $50 extra Fi credit be in time to cover any of the 4 months at $20 a month?
See attached screenshot. If you pay for the phone in full, your trade in value is credited to your credit card. If you pay in installments, you'll get Fi Credit for your trade-in.

Just want to give you guys an update. I received my phone yesterday and I transferred my # through Google Voice and activated the s22 with the Fi sim card. After that I took out the Fi sim (without resetting the ph) and uninstalled the Google Fi app. I put in my Mint mobile sim after and started using it. I just checked the Fi savings progress today and the days are counting down (see the attachment). It looks like we can take out the Fi sim and use our current carrier without any issue with this method. We just need to make sure that we don't put the Fi sim card into another phone.

Was the phone/SIM shipped with a pre-assigned number and you activated the SIM with that number? How did you go about transferring your number to Fi?

I'll be transferring my number from Tracfone (Verizon) and provided that number with the order. But I didn't see a place to enter the Tracfone account number, zip code, Porting PIN, etc. Plus, the Porting PIN from TF is only good for 24-48 hrs after issued. So I want to wait to do the transfer after Fi S22 has been received and activated.

But what about if the price you pay is lower than the trade in? From what gwite said and after reading some of the thread that was linked, you only get back the maximum you paid and then the rest in Fi credits.

So if I pay $325 with tax for a S22 and my trade in is $350, I assume they would refund a max of $325 and the remaining $25 as Fi?

Or do they push the entire $350 on to the credit card you used even if you only paid $325?

Thank you all for your help and information.

I received my S22 yesterday and initiated transfer for my Vonage number to Google Fi, i received a status that transfer is inprogress and it might take 2 days. But today i received a email saying "one of the promotion conditions isn't being met".

Should i wait for two days for the transfer to complete from Vonage to Google Fi?
If it doesn't work, can i transfer boost number to Google Fi? Will it allow me to do one more transfer?

Transfer in progress (Status):
You'll get a notification on this phone when the transfer is done — usually within 1–2 business days.
Until then, calls and texts won't work on Google Fi, but your data connection may be active.

Email:
Don't lose your rebate
You made a purchase with the $500 off Samsung Galaxy S22 instant rebate, but it looks like one of the promotion conditions isn't being met. Please make sure you meet all the conditions to qualify for the rebate.
Please note that if you don't meet the promo conditions, you'll receive a charge for the rebate amount. You can always track the status of your promotion in the Fi app.

I'll defer that question to someone who knows more than I do. My trade-in value is less than the price of the 128GB S22, so I don't have to deal with that situation.

The sim came inside the ph. When I activate the ph, it asked me do I want a new ph # or transfer an existing #. I chose transfer # and then it asked me what's my Google Voice a/c #. I think the # was transfer to my new ph within 15 mins.
