Not sure what is wrong with Google's taxes. They charge me 20% taxes on their bill. Last purchase with them was super painful.

Probably your state. Seems about in line with my experience and what I've been reading.

On the $20 base, I paid $4 - 5 tax. Total close to $25/month.

Most states require all sorts of "taxes" on phone service.

Can I sell the phone after receiving it to make this deal even more sweeter?
If you sell the phone without activating it + port in a number + pay for 4 months of Fi service, then you don't meet the requirements of the promotion and they will charge your credit card the $500 that was discounted.

Well I went back (more like 5-6 days) and did find the conversation you're talking about. It's still pretty vague I guess so more or less just taking a chance.

Definitely don't put the Fi SIM in another phone, I got that part, but whether or not Fi requires the SIM to be in the phone and ping their network at any intervals seems unclear.

Again, common sense makes me think that as long as you are paying for the service, they shouldn't really care if the SIM/phone is actively pinging their network on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. But similarly, they shouldn't care if you just put the Fi SIM in another phone either, however they clearly do and that will void the promo. That's why I'm worried they may have the same weird stance on just not using the SIM at all.
You need to activate the Google Fi service with the phone you received from them which needs you to down load the Google Fi app. After that you can use the sim card manager to disable the Fi Sim or take it out. It would be nice to uninstall that Google Fi app also because it can be the trouble maker :-). You then can use the phone with your Verizon service with the Google Fi Sim inside the phone as Verizon support eSim...

And in your case with Verizon, you can even turn on the Google Fi once in a while if they ask you. However, if you look at the savings progress and if the count down is happening then everything is ok

Pay close attention to battery life for base S22. Read the reviews. That's my deal breaker.
I saw this as well. Seems the base S22 has TERRIBLE battery life.

So I ended up going with the Ultra and the S22+ instead for two people in my household.

Even though I would have loved to buy the S22 for just $300.

Does anyone know if I can combine this promotion with a retail SIM kit bought from a B&M store?
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/goog...Id=6480139

That is:
- order phone from Google Fi website.
- port in number
- add money to new Google Fi account using the purchased SIM kit from Best Buy. I believe activation of the retail kit requires inserting the SIM from the kit in to the phone.

Will this invalidate the promotion?

Can I sign up on low flex plan to get s22 for $299?
or has to be unlimited plan?
thank you
You only need to sign up for the $20 plan.

Just so you know, taxes are charged on that. Most seem to pay about $25/mo, total. Depends on your state.

Wow, seriously? That is crazy, it almost sounds like you have a problem with yours, I can't believe they'd let a phone like that come to market. Do you check what is using the majority of your battery?
My Z flip3 been getting around 4 hrs screen time each full charge. It is bad battery life for a phone but enough for a light user as me who work at home.

Yes.
The porting from Google Voice to Google Fi works smoothly and quickly if you follow the steps.

Steps:
1. Create a Google Voice number.
2. Go into Account Settings and Unlock the number by paying $3 service charge.
3. Now you are ready to port the number to Google Fi.

Has anyone tried trading in a phone with this deal? Will the trade in kit be sent after the phone is delivered?
