Has anyone tried trading in a phone with this deal? Will the trade in kit be sent after the phone is delivered?
Did a deal in 2020.

Trade kit shipped a week after phone shipped.

The trade return period starts the day they ship the return kit, iirc. You will get email notification and tracking info when kit ships.

How are the shipping times looking? I'm thinking of ordering but need this delivered before May 15th.
Edit:
Looks like the deal has expired. Noticing this note on the promo page:
Note: This promotion ended on 2022-04-08 00:00:00 PST. Terms are for reference only.
Depending on what you want to get. Some options seem to be delivered in a week, others said to take a month and still counting

YMMV But my S22 is literally slower than my S20 that I replaced.. And that's even with me setting it to 60hz.. The battery life is also worse. I've had the phone since February and there's a lot of improvements over the S20.. But it's definitely slower and has worse battery life. At least in my case.

I wish I would've gone with the S21 or Ultra, but I hate how big they are.. I definitely notice the 4GB less RAM..

Deals submitted by members just like you make it to the front page daily. Referrals have never been allowed on Slickdeals, and that was a decision made a long time ago by people at a much higher level than me.
I'm sure what you're saying is true, but that doesn't make it right. Something stinks.

Hi anyone can give a walk through regarding the process after you ship the trade on phone?

I read in this thread that google cs is horrible and want to know if it will be a battle with them just to get the credit refund.

or are they super nitpicky with the phone inspection? i have a phone that has no issues or damages but some companies expecting brand new.

They ask a few questions about the trade-in phone which are clear cut. See attachments.

To me, based on the questions on those screens, there are no judgement calls regarding the trade-in phone. If it meets the selected brand, model, specs, turns on, screen has no crack and works, was reset, then it qualifies. With some other sites like Trademore, you have to state its condition as Perfect, Good, Fair, which leaves room for judgement calls.

I ordered the S22 green while signing up, and still don't have it. Just got a message from Google Fi reminding me to activate my service, and that I have to do it within 30 days or I'll lose the promo.

I might not have the phone within 30 days. Do I just activate the service on my current phone (Galaxy Note 10) and then switch to the S22 when it gets here? Will that screwup the promo if I'm not activating on the S22?

EDIT: Just spoke with support, they said 30 day timer doesn't start until you receive the phone.

FWIW in case anyone else was a previous Fi customer, you can't use a referral code when you rejoin. Referral codes only work when you originally set up your Fi account. The site doesn't tell you that when you try to put them in, it just says "Oops there was an error".

The obvious workaround is to use a new Google account, just took me a bit to figure out why I was getting an error.

Did not fin this info in the fi pages.. Any insight into this appreciated: Does the phone come unlocked? I understand that I need to port in a number to fi and use it for 120 days, which I will, but after initial setup/activation, will I be able to put another sim and use it?
Thanks!
