Any insight into this appreciated: Does the phone come unlocked? after initial setup/activation, will I be able to put another sim and use it?

I wish I hadn't bought into the iPhone hype. Lesson learnt. Now I have to wait a year and switch back. Apart from the battery if anyone is considering switching I would recommend you use one for a week.
😆. The iPhone is a ipod with cell phone capabilities.

Probably your state. Seems about in line with my experience and what I've been reading.

On the $20 base, I paid $4 - 5 tax. Total close to $25/month.

Most states require all sorts of "taxes" on phone service.
I used to pay $7.25 tax on $20 bill. Its close to 40% tax

Yes, adding a new line will make the new line eligible for the promo. Did it the other day Smilie
For promo eligible:
I believe the new line added still needs an Google email that was never used for Fi service or if used before, longer than 180 days.

Correct. You do have to activate the Google Fi sim card first in the S22. Then don't use the Google Fi sim for 4 months, and you'll get the $500 off (can use any sim in S22 after activating).

Anyone can confirm if there are faster shipping colors? Earlier in the thread people mention black but out of those colors I would choose green or white

I ordered a black 128GB S22 which I think is the most common model and color. Order placed 4/22, initial delivery date was 4/27-4/29, then a few days later pushed out a week to 5/4-5-6 and has been the same since.

I hung out in the last thread for the past couple months while I was waiting for my green S22. I don't recall many people complaining about the wait time for the white, while there were quite a few of us waiting on the green. It took almost 2 months for them to fulfill our orders. So I think between the two, green seems to have a longer wait.
That was the 256GB model which may also make a difference, since they were the same price at the time. Now that 128GB is cheaper, now that may have higher demand?

Wrong. You need to keep the sim active in the phone for 4 months. If not you will be charged the discounted value

Thanks. I don't like black since my couches and shadows are black. Hard to spot a phone 😀. But I do plan to get 256
