So far my order is still showing "delivered by May 18-20", crossing my fingers for no more changes.
Will plan to port GV #, and will try to use the Amex credits
Theoretically that would price the phone at:
$300 + tax (23 for me) = 323
$25 x 4 (4 months' service) = 100
$3 GV
-25x3 (Amex discounts)
----------------------------------------------
~$351
If all works out, not a bad price for an unlocked flagshi# that'll probably net 400-500 on trade-in for S23
Verizon can't find the IMEI number in their system. Samsung basically said "Hey, eSIM isn't fully supported right now. Try next quarter."
Theoretically Verizon says they're going to take care of it, but it's been a royal pain in the ass.
Now I need to sell my s10+ . trade in was shitty otherwise I would have done that

I haven't been billed yet for the start of service, does that happen at the end of the month? EDIT: Got a welcome email that says I'll be billed for the month in 1-2 days.
The problem comes when programming the ESIM card with Verizon. I'm not sure who exactly is at fault, but it's shared between Samsung and Verizon. It seems to be more of a Verizon problem than Samsung, but Samsung are impossible to work with too, so I'm not letting them off easily.
Long story short, if your ESIM card IMEI number is in the system (whatever that means) you can setup your phone from your home in a matter of a few minutes. If your IMEI number isn't in the system, it takes 1-5 days to resolve, if at all. I started the process on Thursday evening and I'm hoping on Monday it will be resolved.

Never seen something like that before - is this something that Google puts on the phones? Worried if they are able to find out that another sim is in the phone and not the Fi.
