for boost port out, the account number is NOT the phone number, correct?
You're correct. It's not the phone number. But you'll find the account number in the dashboard in your Boost account on their website once you login. However, you will need to call their customer service to ask for the Port Out pin, it is different from the one you created when you signed up. It's six digits instead of four. Some people here have said that you need to activate the service and make sure you received calls on it, because they will call you to confirm that's your Boost number before they give you port out pin. That was not the case for me, they didn't call me or even asked why I needed the pin.

it's not their fault that Samsung has not pushed update to support esim on any variations of the S22 yet!

This deal is not for flippers ..beware n read fine print . you move sim card out deal is gone .. they charge full price n back charge you ..no customer service or any where to complain about that either
Even for once? I activated the number and had to take out the sim for once and I put it back in after a few minutes. Should I not trust the deal now as I do not want that they charge me $500 at the end

Interesting, yes that's what happened to other people on this thread. So that's why it's important to activate the Boost simcard on a spare phone and test the service before calling to make sure you'll get that call. Luckily I didn't get the call, they gave me the pin right away, no questions asked. Depends on the rep you get I guess

I'm porting out from T Mobile prepaid. It is paid up to late next week. The phone arrives this afternoon for me. Can I pop in my T Mobile sim card to use the new phone and then activate Fi later on? Or will this make me ineligible for the $500 discount...

how long does it take for Boost port-out to complete?

edit: took about 30-40 minutes to complete without incident.

Received my black 128GB S22 this afternoon. Went to Google Fi account on my laptop and entered porting info for my Tracfone number. My Tracfone uses Verizon via Tracfone. I selected the provider as Other but Google Site kept changing it to Verizon, so I left it as Verizon. Downloaded the Fi app on my S22 and ran it to activate the phone. Got a text message on my TF phone that the number was being ported out, no action needed if I had requested the port. Less than a minute later, the number was active on the S22. Went pretty well.

For me it took me less than 2 hours from when I did the Port in process and being able to use the phone with Google Fi. During the process the Boost number will appear as AT&T but that's okay. I even chatted with Google Fi and they told me that on their end they could see it as Boost Mobile.

It's been said many times here that the phone number you enter on sign up doesn't mean anything. You can use a different number when doing the actual port after receiving the phone. And even if you use the same phone number, it doesn't matter as long as that number is not a currently or recently active Fi number.
Thanks I guess.....First confirmation I have of this being so.....Never ran across this topic on the threads I combed through looking for an answer, guess I would of found it if I had more time to waste... sorry for my ignorance I guess 😑....That being said, I guess I'll try again....

Just got my 128GB S22 this afternoon. On the right-hand edge, below the power/side button, there's something that I can't figure out what it is (See attached picture). It doesn't press in like a button, it's not a tray because there's no obvious way to open it (like using an eject pin with the SIM tray). Couldn't find any info about it in the owner's manual or reviews. Does anyone know what it is?
