This is the same exact dimensions as the half rack thing on top of my Jeep. Wonder if that's on purpose? Either way just grabbed one for my offroading adventure storage. Thanks OP.

What's the advantage of this over HF's version? Both are generic, made-in-China, bottom-dollar goods. HT claims it's waterproof, but who really knows. https://www.harborfreight.com/54-...95165.html

Should be theoretically unlimited since the actual frame is external (your hitch carrier or maybe roof rack) That said, typical tongue weight for a unibody vehicle is about 200#, or a good bit more if you have a BOF truck. 200# is also about the limit on most roof racks.

These both look like all-encompassing bags, despite the differing names. Even one of the 1-star reviews on the HF bag mentioned a bottom: "The bottom is waterproof. I can tell bc it's FULL of water!"

Maybe the Hyper Tough bag is a little more water-resistant than the HT bag in which case it'd be worth the extra $10 and impulse buy.
