uh... MS just announced MS Office on the web with the Edge browser for FREE! just like Google Docs
browser is not the same as installed. for most people the browser version would work just fine.

also, not everyone is willing to give MS and Google full access to their documents Wink

I bought this one back in January from SoftKeyWorld, total $27.81. And yes, it's still working! https://softkeyworld.com/product/...onal-plus/

Code SPRING22 for 20% off.

Thanks, coupon worked here . Received my product key instantly in my email. Legit!
Really...hmmm. I ordered from SoftKeyWorld six hours ago and haven't received anything more than the order confirmation email saying that my order "is now being processed". It shouldn't take but moments to send out a digital key.

If Microsoft wanted this suite of office to be legitimately available near this price point, they would be selling it. Home and Student 2021 is $150, (word, excel, & PowerPoint) straight from MS.

Email them. I looked back at my emails & I received the key & download link within 1 minute of the order confirmation.

Picked one up. Installed in minutes. I'm happy enough. Last license I had was in my Mac that finally died.

Should've looked here for the cheaper keys, could've saved another $15 or so. Live and learn I guess.

I got mine as soon as I paid. It was right in the page, not in an email. Edit: there's a redeem purchase button in my email too.

I've been down that road too. I decided to buy one of those cheap keys & install it on an older laptop that was rarely used. You had to jump through hoops by activating through a command line script. Microsoft finally deactivated it. I ran the script again & it reactivated. Must have been a keygen. I laughed! It lasted several months after that and finally bit the dust.

The one I bought from SoftKeyWorld does show up in my Microsoft account. The eBay version did not.

Thanks. I just completed a live chat with SoftKeyWorld and obtained the license. The response:
Quote :
Sorry for this trouble
We received license key from Microsoft
Now we are processing all pending order
Don't worry I am going to process your order right now
Please allow me few minutes
And within a few minutes I did in fact receive the product key via email. But the response suggested that my order wasn't the only one "pending". So much for "Instant Download/
Rapid Digital Delivery" and "Download Immediately After Purchase".

I'm still using Office 2007. Last I checked, there are still 26 letters and 0-9 digits. Sure, at work I use Office365, but for home/personal use 2007 is fine AFAIC.

There are.

But there haven't been any security updates for that software in almost 5 years.

it's probably ok if you only ever use office to create your own, local, documents- and never open anything from any external source with it (including not letting your browser pass anything to any part of office).

Otherwise this deal is probably worthwhile for you.

I personally ordered a while back a 2016 student license of office. It had the basics like word excel PowerPoint and something else. I only cared about word and excel and it's perfect. And I didn't have to deal with the 365 worthless yearly fee. But that was just under 40$ and this is 50 for the whole suite? I mean it sounds like a good deal. But it's for one license. And I don't know how hard it is to… let's say your in the process of upgrading computers, it would be a bad idea to install it and then go to a new computer and you may run into the problem of being unable to swap the key to the next system. Just something to think about.
