Lifetime for THE COMPUTER you install this on. It's non-transferrable. (Updates are apparently included) I'm seeing regular price between $69-99.

The free updates don't include upgrades.
IOW, when Office 2024 (or whatever) comes out you don't get to upgrade to it. However, you will still receive security, bug, and critical updates to your Office 2021 for the life of the product (thru Oct 13, 2026).

Also, read the ONE COMPUTER part as something that you control. If a computer that you had this Office 2021 on dies, you are fully able to license the same Office 2021 on a new computer, provided you log into your Microsoft account and remove the old computer activation. It's a full retail license that is fully transferrable - as long as it's only on one computer at a time.

Also², If you already have (or have had) a Microsoft account tied to a subscription Microsoft product (Office365/Microsoft365) Microsoft may not allow you to use that account for perpetual products (although this isn't explained when you try to use it). Just create a new, free Microsoft account and activate it that way. You can use the key you receive for any valid email address (regardless of the email address you enter when purchasing the Office 2021 Pro).

I purchased from here in mid April. Last week my installation suddenly restricted my access as unlicensed. I called Microsoft support and they tried to help but unable to saying something to the effect this was MSDN licensed and ultimately I would have to contact the seller. I do not recommend this deal.

Office 2010 gang reporting in.
same here, and everything works except for Outlook.
New connection security requirements prevent O2010 Outlook form working properly with some providers, even AOL

Yeah, this is really bizarre. I wonder if they got tricked by a "reseller" into offering these, because as a mainstream publication MS could easily go after them for this.
I think what they sell is OEM keys, like the computer manufacturer sells office with the laptop. The condition, at lease there was one, is that the software must be sold with the hardware.
There used to be Ebay sellers selling you a floppy drive with the Office or something.
I think they just graduated to a bigger scene.

So technically these are legal keys. It also makes sense that the key will be attached to the hardware when activated.
just my opinion.

This is a lifetime for Office 2021 on one PC.

It's not lifetime upgrades to new versions of Office. When Office 2023 or whatever comes out, you won't get that upgrade.

Wow, this reminded me of this blast of the past deal:
https://slickdeals.net/e/8355911-ms-office-2016-14-99-for-students-and-school-faculty?src=SiteSearchV2Algo

I'm still using it today. 😂. Honestly, what kind of advancements have been done in 7 years in Microsoft Office products? Like the basic ones like Word and Excel?

EDIT: If they have full dark mode Excel, I'd consider upgrading. I'm talking about black cells and white text with a click of a button. In 7 years they were able to at least improve that.... right? Do tell!
DARK CELLS - I did not test this but see if it will work for you. https://www.ceofix.net/4100/use-d...-and-word/

Thank you! I assumed this was the case (that you could install on another PC should you need to, with previous PC being deactivated), but with all the comments saying otherwise I was hesitant to go forward with the purchase.

Doesn't outlook already come on windows? How is it different?
Sounds like you're confusing Outlook with the Windows included 'Mail' (which is better than nothing, but kinda sucks). Windows also includes a basic 'Calendar' app.

I don't understand all the good feedback.......I bought the program this morning (with code $31.99) and was a quick email response for the install. Entered the code and received an code error with a phone number. Spoke to someone that stated someone would call back and they did....BUT the "tec" was leading through the process of getting into my computer. When I explained he wouldn't allow allow him in to go and hire someone to get it working and hung up. Something isn't right about this outfit.
Def don't wanna allow them access! Smells fishy!

I am still rocking MS Office Pro Plus 2016, I got it on deal based on email from I place I use to work. Don't remember how much I paid. It is transferable. I 've had it on multiple PCs in the last so many years. I do think it's limited to two or three machines.

Were they foreign sounding? Also if they were trying to teamviewer into your computer they were scammers. That entire softkey site is nothing but a scam. I don't know why mods are allowing it to be mentioned here because if you go over on reddit it's nothing but warning posts and comments about it being a scam.

I'd like to know this, too. I bought MS Office 2021 for Mac from Slickdeals, that was a one offer per purchaser deal as far as I know.

Can I buy another MS Office 2021 for Mac license from softkeyword for a second Mac?

The story I read is that Microsoft deliberately released this deal to get everyone to upgrade MS Office, cheaper for them to support.

Can you link that thread before I buy another one? I saw one reddit post about a virtual credit card issue but nothing else.

Still got my Office 2007 installed and running.
I've got office 2000 (free) on one of my win 7 pcs. I only use outlook, excel and word. Still functional for the basic stuff.
