Let me clarify here.
I believe that there are less then 10 sellers allowed to sell apple products on Amazon. Those sellers are all established companies.
On this listing there are no 3rd party sellers doing FBA so there's nowhere Amazon can mix it from.
Bring it to a apple store. I had that issue also.

I just bought so they say just send back to seller, unless i want to send to apple and they will check. So i just going to return. No hassle lol

Note: If your local Costco doesn't have them you'll have to substitute to a Pro or cancel (my local store didn't have 3rd gens in stock). Also some people have been able to get an additional 30% off using CashApp and applying the 30% instacart boost on their CashApp debit card... caution.. if you don't already have CashApp and a CashApp debit card it may not be worth the trouble... multiple reports of people getting their instacart accounts auto-disabled on checkout when using a newly made CashApp debit card
