Nice price, but the reviews on the warranty company CPS are atrocious.

Curious why that's an issue for some. If you run everything through a proper 4K or 8K capable HT system, 1 input is all you need.

Seems legit, with the only concern being you get a panel with flaws that aren't warranty worthy.

It's a risk once outside a return period. If I hadn't bought my recent TCL 6 series 75" and QD OLED wasn't upon us and I didn't live in a rental house I would jump on this. I hope QD OLED gets a larger panel next year.

but how would this be different than buying a brand new? you also get 4 years of extra warranty...

77in is very tempting... but this TV only has two, 2.1 inputs.... something the LG C1 has all four of.

That's why I went with the LG C1 77" when it was $2350 after tax from LG Partner Mall back in December. It'll be a while before Sony has 4x HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K 120, ALLM, and VRR support working out of the box. The A80J has VRR support, but the PS5 doesn't have VRR unlocked yet.

I saw someone on AVS, who has a CPS warranty (on an LG OLED I believe) say they had to take their TV to their local repairman to get it looked at lmao

If these are official refurbs, presumably they have their panel replaced. Anyone have experience with Certified refurbs from Buydig?

It's an added cost, and it can introduce more input lag. It's a great option if you don't have a home theater system, but if you already have an older one then you'll run into problems.

Refurbished is a non-legally defined description.

That said, the CJ model number means this was a Costco Warehouse model (80J is the standard retail model). There is no difference internally or externally (different model numbers so you can't pricematch).

I personally would consider these almost brand new if that is the case. Likely Super Bowl buy, returns and will have less than 100 hours. I can almost guarantee it.

I own a PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X.

What else do I own? A stereo amp based system and do not want an AVR to act as a 400 dollar HDMI switch.
