Absolutely not worth it. These power supplies are top notch and come with 10 year warranty new. Even if the warranty was a year it's not worth it. If Corsair trusted these they would get a multi year warranty.

Yeah, and pretty terrible for them to say to say they are "certified" if the warranty isn't even a tenth the warranty of the new product.

It would be fair to offer half of that 10 year warranty on a refurbished 50% off power supply.

Stress testing it in the first 90 days will go a long way. I've found most electronics that make it in the first month go the distance.

As of right now, it is $115 on AMZ. Is this still worth it, or should I get a brand new one? Are there any concerns with getting a refurbished one? I know someone said stress testing it, but I haven't done it before so I'm afraid I won't be able to stress test it properly and comprehensively. Thanks all.

Depends on what card you're planning for. I'm going 1000w to be safe.

Personally, I went with the new rm850x on Amazon. Just so you're aware it's the older model which has quieter fan profile but doesn't have some of the new changes around handling high temps under load (i'm not sure most people will care about this tbh) or the new fan bearing design. The older unit is rock solid though.

I have installed it yesterday and played games, ran test and stress test. It did good. A lot of times its shipping damage that causes original DOAs, these are fixed and repackaged, but cant be sold as new.

I have 3070ti and 5900x

I've heard cards could go as high as 600 watts, but that's probably only if you go with the very top card. They wouldn't bother selling a lower end card that needs excess power. With that said, I believe they switching over to a new interface for powering them, I didn't look to see if this PSU is compatible.

Not so much about trust, but markup. You pay for a 10 year warranty.
