Note neither set is tunable white. 2700k, though slightly changes with dimming.

Thanks. I always set my backyard ones to about this color anyway, so this will free up two of my dimmables.

I never liked the soft white light these bulbs turn out. 2700k. You are better with white ambience bulbs then you can change color temp based on time of day.

Wish we'd get a sale on the ambiance ones. Still rocking the old "soft" whites (released before these)

Im having this 2 packs connected to my HE hub via Zigbee which works great. If I get a Hue hub, can I simultaneously connect the bulbs to my HE hub via zigbee, also to Hue hub via bluetooth? The reason I want the zigbee connection because I want to expand my zigbee network coverage.

Keep in mind these are 2700K light. If you live in the 1980s these are perfect. If it's 2022 where you live look for 3000K lights. A small but significant difference.

If you wanna play the "get with the times" card you should probably have adaptive lights that adjust color temperature based on the time of day.

I don't think most people leave their lights on during the day unless they don't have windows in their house. Rarely used feature. whereas having lights on at night is what everyone does. Static 3000k is fine.

I don't know what you mean by "HE" hub. So I'll assume it's just some zigbee hub that is NOT a Philips Hue bridge. The Bluetooth feature on Hue bulbs is for controlling the bulbs via Bluetooth directly from a mobile device using iOS or android. The purpose is to bypass the need for a hub. Using it via Bluetooth is good for simple setups or people just trying out Hue smart bulbs but it comes with some limitations that are unlocked when using the Philips Hue bridge.

As for expanding you current zigbee network, I have no idea if the mesh network feature gets expanded for non Philips Hue bridges, in your use case your current "HE" hub. If it does why do you even care to use the Hue bridge via Bluetooth (again, not that it does).

You misunderstood my question. Im in the home automation for more than 8 years but new to Phillips Hue eco system.
I currently have the set as listed in this post to connect directly to my Hubitat Evolution hub via Zigbee. They also act as zigbee repeater for my hub which work really well. I keep hearing some user here mention about the advantage and disadvantage as using Hue bridge (bluetooth) vs zigbee hub, scenes control for instant. In my case, I would want to take advantage of the hue bridge also maintain the zigbee repeater feature. If you done it before and know if it works then share your experience and thought. Seems like you have not…
