Just an FYI. Using ANY USB-C charger other than the OEM ASUS one for the X13 will result in the system operating at reduced performance. Doesn't matter if you use a 120W one or an 85W one. There's some chip in the ASUS charger that unlocks the full performance mode of the laptop.

I know this because I bought one of the satisfactory open box from BB back in January, and it was missing the charger. Spent days trying to figure out why I couldn't run games at full tilt on the laptop using a 120W USB-C charger.

If you don't care about gaming, then no worries.

Probably too small a screen for most people, but this machine is an absolute BEAST. Down from $1499, New models have come out with the 6000 series so these got discounted. I found an open box for $935 that was in perfect condition, but no pen or sleeve. YMMV on open box.

Im on my second one of these things, i bought it and loved it but also missed a bigger screen so i sold it, i ended up needing something smaller again to run in my car for tuning it and my giant regular laptop was a pain so i bought it again, its surprisingly really capable though. Its no full blown gaming pc but it honestly runs everything I've tried pretty well, and for productivity and running HP Tuners it lasts hours no problem.

This model didn't come with a pen or a sleeve, so you're not missing anything. The 16:10 screen makes it a very nice portable for working on things tho. I'm using an old Surface Pro 4 pen with mine. (the pen sticks to the lid magnetically as well -- not neatly, but enough to keep it together when moving it around)

Those open boxes are no joke. I got one for the Same price, looks brand new after I wiped some finger prints off it, I need to find a nice skin for this thing.

I just bought a portable usb c monitor to add with it, i like the small size for most things and when I need it I'll bust out the usb second screen. For the price and the form factor you really can't beat it, sure it's no full fledged gaming laptop but it plays everything fine for me and it's still small enough to take everywhere like it's an iPad.

I just bought mines 4 hours ago. I went in store and luckily they had one in excellent open box condition and I spent $990.12 w/ taxes included. The battery so far feels like night and day compared to the asus rog z13 I bought over the weekend. It's just as light during my commute to work/school from home. Worth the plunge in my opinion.

Open box deals are SLICK!!! I got an open box satisfactory and it was pretty jacked up and came with a Dell charger. Manager gave me $150 off additional. I wanted to add Totaltech because I'm buying a few things from best buy this year plus free dishwasher install. Anyways they had another satisfactory one so I exchanged them but manager let me keep the discount plus even though it was satisfactory it looked brand new. So I ended up getting it for $824!!!

Point is the satisfactory ones could be a hit or big miss haha. I have bought other satisfactory before that also looked new.

Open Box at Best Buy is definitely YMMV, but IMO worth going through it if you really want to get something for a "slick" deal. This is the second time I bought an OB item, and for one reason or another something didn't work properly, but they let me exchange it for a brand new item w/o having to pay the difference. The first X13 I bought was "OB-Excellent" and physically it looked great and had the AC-adapter, but it would go into a BSoD loop during Setup and even AFTER I factory reset it, so I took it back and was replaced with a new one, hardly any questions asked. I'm only upset that I didn't go for the cheaper "Satisfactory" or "Fair" option and I would have saved even more money, but I know for next time.

Also, this is a great PC for work, travel, 2-in-1 tablet usage w/a stylus, media consumption, and gaming on the go! This covers all I need for a laptop, especially considering I already have a gaming desktop (and a company-issued laptop). The only downside is USB-C dock compatibility is not the greatest because it lacks Thunderbolt (a current AMD Ryzen problem; not ASUS' fault) and not many available ports, but kind of expected for this small form factor.

Yeah, the most bizarre thing is that the laptop will oftentimes run faster with NO charger rather than with any charger that isn't the official one. Super bizarre decision on Asus's part IMO. At least you can charge it via USB C was the thinking? idk, honestly.

Still a great little unit overall though.

Check store for open-box availability. If you see something missing or reasonable cosmetic damage, I believe you can talk to the manager for an additional 5%-10% or more discount. I've done this on multiple occasions in the past. It depends on the manager's decision; don't nag when it doesn't work out. Be civil.
Update: I was going to get this laptop for my brother. He is playing only WoW: Shadow Lands. I came to BB to check it out. The first thing I notice, the laptop is running more much warm. Imagine when the 3050 GPU kicks in. The keyboard feels cheap and not comfortable to type; I would put 6.5 points from 1 to 10. I believe the laptop hinge seems to loosen over time from its feel.
