I am pretty upset that the number of pennies this costs is not 56. Otherwise specs look solid.

Per https://dl.dell.com/content/manua...us&ps=true this can take 32GB of RAM max, 16GB per slot.

I got this laptop in Nov 21 and the heat issues were really bad. After the 2nd day the laptop kept shutting down due to the heat. Dell sent a replacement and had the same issues and the battery management program wouldnt full complete charging. So the days i ported this around from home the battery chargr would be 80% and with power management to perserve battery life i got 5 hrs before i had to plug it back in.


There was also the loud noise from the fans even if all i was doing was doing work in Excel or just browsing chrome.

So it was returned and I got the Auroua R13 in Dec 21 and that is another horror story.

While the price might be right I personally wont be getting anything in the future from Dell.

Some interesting info here about a manual update (vbios) that unlocks about 10% of the cuda cores on the GPU which hadn't been available (and won't get updated without the manual update, at least as of July 2021) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4...od%27sTech It's actually running cooler with the update, though surprisingly not that much better on FPS.

This looks really solid. In the market for a laptop that I can game on but take to classes for a max of 4 hours a day. Does anyone know what the battery is like on this?

64GB by using two 32GB sticks. 32GB is the maximum Dell offers with this laptop, not the maximum limit. In any modern laptops released in last 8 years minimum, max ram is what the cpu supports and the number of available ram slots.

Will be more than 4 hours for sure if you use the power saver or balanced mode with 150 nits brightness, for normal office works, thanks to the efficient AMD platform.
