Wish they had put some thought into the design at this price.

This is an incredible amp. Been using it daily for nearly 5 years now with zero issues. Even though it was cheaper back in 2017 ($380), I would still highly recommend it at 500.

Yep, that was a non-signature model and back then I think msrp was $549. I used it for 3 or 4 years too, until I bought a dedicated DAP.

It rocked.

I have the previous version and have had for years. I use it on my desktop and on my Pixel/iPad at work. It is a great versatile DAC/Amp that can easily run my HD6xx and IEMs. I highly recommend it to anyone looking into a small dac/amp combo.

I also have owned the non-signature. This thing is a beast. My only minor issue is if this is for portable (well probably more transportable) use the battery does eventually go. Still, for the price there is not much that can beat it still. I do wish they would add Bluetooth with LDAC since that seems to be the way I am listening to music these days.

I have not heard the FIIO K9 Pro but it is supposed to be really good. This is cheaper and I always liked that I could move it from my office to my living room. Kind of a different use case as a whole. For FIIO stuff, I do use my BTR5 a ton.

ya, i def can't comment on that one, but only thing I can add is that seems like a few folks here have been using micro idsd for the last 3-5 years.. I can tell you that my past exp with fiio was that it was good for the price point, but it just always left me wanting more... i am not sure if it's helpful to you, but that's just how I approached it.

This goes well with the $300 Sennheiser HD660S deal. For $800 you get a pretty impressive desktop setup that's transportable. The HD660 already comes with a 4.4 mm balanced cable, so you can fully utilize this Signature model's balanced output.

Lol. Just buy an adapter. All of mine are 2.5mm but I use 4.4mm.
