Wish they had put some thought into the design at this price.

Is iFi the same as Fiio ? Fiio is garbage. They assemble electronics but know nothing about good sound.
Not the same at all. Ifi is a UK company I believe. No affiliation.

Lol. Just buy an adapter. All of mine are 2.5mm but I use 4.4mm.
oh, there is nothing wrong with 2.5mm Smilie

This is an incredible amp. Been using it daily for nearly 5 years now with zero issues. Even though it was cheaper back in 2017 ($380), I would still highly recommend it at 500.
same here. I had the OG silver model and loved that it's equally capable of driving the most power hungry Audeze planars and the most sensitive IEMs, all in a very portable self-containing package. It's versatile as a DAC alone or DAC/Amp. The reason I used 'had' is because I accidentally blew the circuits on it, maybe when I overloaded the power with a space heater. Was going to see how much it'd cost to repair it but I am tempting to just pick up a new one.
Sound wise, this is a little bright for being a solid state amp. Depending on the can, I generally would use it as a DAC and pair it with a tube amp to warm it up.

The only portable DAC/amp that could match this in power and quality is the Chord Mojo but I prefer this.

This! Sounds so dope with the Hifiman Arya, only thing that sucks it making sure it's charged and that when you're charging it's on the side of device so it's nicely hiding behind it. Love this with focal clear as well

this or the fiio K9 pro to pair with Aryas? (if you don't mind the larger footprint)

I have a Mojo amp and Audeze MX headphones which are meant to sound great without much amplification. Think it's worth upgrading?

This! I have a d90 DAC which is same DAC inside of the K9... Well the akm version of it and I haven't touched it since getting this amp/DAC. That xbass gives it a nice low end makes the Arya sounds so good

Guessing this will blow away the best from FiiO, eh?
If you have headphones which benefit from a $500 DAC/Amp then yes. If you are using a pair of M40x then stick with Fiio

This goes well with the $300 Sennheiser HD660S deal. For $800 you get a pretty impressive desktop setup that's transportable. The HD660 already comes with a 4.4 mm balanced cable, so you can fully utilize this Signature model's balanced output.
fairly certain the appeal here is portability. if you just need a stationary desktop dac amp, the topping dx3 pro+ destroys this in value at $200 msrp without even needing a balanced output. desktop dac amps have come along way in the last few years. this is an old model.
