Not true, they used to have a supply issue with these bags, not a problem anymore, available in stock for a while now.

$40 for 5 bags sucks. It's like a subscription model unless there are generics that are made and are very cheap.

Seems like a great deal for a self-emptying robot vacuum. I have an older Samsung robot that works pretty good, but lacks self-emptying and mapping features. It does a great job vacuuming, though, and always returns to base to recharge. This should take care of any short-comings my current Samsung has. In for one. Thanks!
