Sony let me own the movies when I got tickets for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Morbius. Then again, the MCU is better than the SSU.

They might just extend the offer if it gets delayed. They had to do that when Morbius was delayed when they had the Sony movies offer.

I've had Regal fail to award me the bonus on these multiple times in the past. And they ignored my emails when I reached out.

I've never gotten the link between DMR and Regal to give me any points, not going to count on that.. I'm not going to upload my tickets every time, either the integration works or it doesn't.

One thing I hoped during the pandemic was for movie theaters to be outdated and just become a niche thing, unfortunately movies are still being released theater only, I can see why with the huge profit margins for the studios for theater release. I mean it's nice going with some friends once in a while.

Many people like the movie experience. Watching movies on most TV set ups just doesn't compare. Watching Star Wars on a TV, not matter the size will never compare to watching it on a large screen. The 2nd Suicide movie was a much better experience on the big screen than on HBO Max - the film was designed to be seen on a massive screen - as are most Marvel movies and anything in IMAX. Home TV viewing is a LONNNNGGGGG way away from matching the theater experience.

NOTE: I am talking about TVs here, if you have a projector and full audio set up, then, yes, your personal experience MAY be better than the theater.

I used to go all the time until I got a widescreen projection in the 00s. Then only for special effects driven films. Now I have a 65" OLED and still choose to see some films in theater... one to avoid spoliers and two, I am able to watch fully immersed without interruptions from people or pets.

Its a matter of preference... and as someone who works remotely.. its nice to get out of the damn house.

I'm from Milwaukee, WI. We have AMC and Marcus Theaters here. Every Tuesday is $5 Tuesdays, at Marcus Theaters and you get a free popcorn. This "deal" is surprising to see.
