Funny, I was thinking "Looks like something I could get at Goodwill for $2" … at least there too whatever you'd find would probably be more unique and getting re-used.
I have never heard using "Goodwill" as a verb. I learned something new today. Lol
Goodwill has gone insane with prices by my house. You can't find things like these for $2 at Goodwill these days.
Yeah goodwill I know would be selling them individually for $4.99 $6.99 & $8.99

Sounds about right. The pair of shoes used to be all $5, but now, they have different prices and the most expensive I have seen were like $10 or $15. I used to buy shoes at Goodwill for $5 but now I need to think twice.
Since you have them, worth a shot to try this.. Boil a pot of water, turn off, put the lid with plastic in, a min later fish it out and try putting it on. If it's a thermoplastic it'll fix it. If not, oh well.
I price things all day at goodwill. You're not far off. We usually can "sense" the price to charge by the look, feel, quality and yes branding because it matters, it really does.
We're just trying to find the right price point like any other retailer. If something's going to fly off the shelf, the minute we put it out, we'd up price the next one. We're well aware that grossly overpriced items disgust some customers. Actually I'm really afraid of it to be honest. It goes into every pricing decision pretty much.
I think most customers would understand if they knew the whole dynamic. I shop there too. And I only get a 20% discount.
