It is a pretty significant improvement over the first. Better story, better combat. But it's still only a so-so game. I wouldn't rate it as well as an Atelier game.

This is a good game and a great deal for people that enjoy RPGs. I'm still salty I paid $50 for this a while ago because I thought it was going to be scarce.

Even if you don't particularly like these types of games, I swear every anime looking game shoots up in value after it's no longer available. Anime games are basically a better store of value than gold coins.

Is it? Jeez, it's on my watch list for a good price. That 1st game being sold for upwards of $100. If it is bad as you say, then it's just the rarity of it increasing the price then.

I bought this early April sale when they had the buy 2 get 1 free (new games), so I basically paid this price. I just suggest if you wanna have this come as a sealed copy, better get it from Amazon as GS will 50/50 give you an open copy. Worse case, they disguise a used copy as new, so the case will come with dings. Worst case scenario is the store that gets the order, they have 1 opened new copy in store and the case is stolen or lost, and they end up sending you a "new game" without the case; it is rare, but it happens.

I got the first game at 20. It took a huge drop then shot up years later.
