i bought a m2 frame xl with polarized black iridium lens (oo9343-09) from woot in feb 2021 and a m2 frame xl with grey lens (oo9343-01) from oakley.com in jan 2022 and the frames were exactly the same (ie "polished black" frame with the model number printed on the underside behind a hinge and "M2FRAME" and "CE" embossed on the inside of the earsocks, but grey vs black earsocks) and the lenses were exactly the same (ie shape and "OAKLEY" etched over bridge, though the polarized lens had "POLARIZED" etched in the corner and was of course reflective silver like black iridium lenses).
now, that was a little over a year ago, so i would be interested in any more recent (counter) examples. (oakley sunglasses only, please, and i only have an interest in / knowledge of the "sport performance"). i also have older experience buying oakley sunglasses at jomashop (ie 2020). here's my previous post that goes into some more details.

Make sure they fit snug, that lenses are heavy and if they fall into the water, you wont even see them before they hit the bottom.
I understand and agree with the general hate for Luxottica, but sometimes the products are still good. Especially when the pricing is more competitive, like with this sale.

Never had CDM's. Hope it's as good as my Maui Jim's Wiki Wiki.
For reference, the oakley flak beta's have been on this sale list for the past 10 times this has been posted on slickdeals (seems like every 3 weeks) and they have always been in the $58-62 range. The cheapest I saw them elsewhere was $50, so not bad pricing but not the best either.

i love oakley sunglasses because as an athlete the large shield-like lenses present an undistorted view (sitting high atop my larger-than-average nose and bridge) and the frames stay on / stick to my larger-than-average head. yes, the hyped technology really works (though it seems less hyped than it use to be, eg i can't readily find any lengthy descriptions of "unobtainium", "xyz optics", "plutonite", or "o matter" on oakley.com, but just mere references).
but i won't deny that i have to baby my oakley sunglasses. I transport them in a microbag inside a soft vault to keep the lenses from getting scratched or the frames from getting squashed and broken, which is relatively easy to do (compared to my prescription eyeglasses with compact metal frame and uv and anti-reflective coatings; of course my mframes are larger and provide better/fuller coverage than my eyeglasses, so it's not exactly a fair comparison). and service isn't the same: i had mframes from the mid-90s where 5 years later both a hinge cracked and broke and the lens coating started peeling and oakley replaced it all for $20 after i mailed them to oakley hq in california. now you only get 50% off in the first year as a free-to-join "oakley mvp".
i don't know how woot, jomashop, etc sell discounted genuine oakley sunglasses, but i'm glad they do (compared to last century when your only option was the rare sale at the sunglass hut in the mall).
