These bikes are terrible quality. I bought my 5 year old one a few months ago and the pedal arm joint separated from the frame about 3 weeks after buying. Took it back and got a Schwinn for the same price (not at this sale price) and it's been solid. Never buying cheap again.

I bought this princess one last year and the pedal system (I don't really know what it's called) broke today. Not just the chain but the whole unit inside of it fell apart with ball bearings broken. This is the second huffy bike I have had this happened.

Anyone know what it's called and if a replacement can be purchased for it? Would hate to throw otherwise good bike in landfill

FWIW, they're the same company. Huffy bought out Schwinn's branding and assets when they went bankrupt in 2001.
