So, I found this on the HD app today. I haven't seen it posted on here and thought I might be able to help a couple people. You get a free starter kit with the purchase of the Atomic Recip. Saw (tool only). This starter kit comes with a PowerStack (1.7amp) battery. I heard they are pretty good.

I don't post much and not sure if these HD hacks even work anymore, but if it does, you can get this Atomic Recip. Saw for about $89.81, down from the $169 listed price. Or, you can get the starter kit for $79.19, whichever you choose to return. I set the starter kit for in-store pickup and saw for shipping home. Checked out and worked fine. Will return/cancel the starter kit and hopefully the hax still works. If not, I'll gladly keep both anyway. I would post pics if I knew how too.

If this has been posted before recently, sorry I didn't see it. Hopefully it helps someone. If not, then I'm sure you'll let me know LoL.

This saw is fantastic for cutting pvc, if a little slow. The short stroke makes for longer cutting times, but it is a very smooth cutting saw. I think I paid around $90 (tool only)for mine. The powestack battery won't get the job done for professional or home use, but ymmv.

Actually for cutting PVC you want a fast cut because more blade contact will melt the PVC. Fast cuts are clean cuts. I think there is an atomic circular saw, so I would recommend that

I don't know a single plumber that uses a circular saw to cut PVC. That's just silly. In no way does this saw even come close to melting PVC.

Ream? You mean run my hand around the pipe to knock the boogers off? 🤣

We have 1 guy that insists on cleaning his pipe ends with a knife. He's the only person I've seen "ream" a PVC pipe.

Copper = always ream

I have the 12v version and use it all the time for light duty stuff. Good for small repair work or light demo. It definitely will cut pvc and conduit in a pinch.

That's your best plumber, the guy that reams his PVC so the ends don't push all the glue to the back. And boogers are not a clean cut. But I'm just a homeless guy so what do I know
