There's stories about that with every major manufacturer these days.
Just get a model with features you want, a decent warranty, and in the price range you want.

Not a good deal if your fridge breaks down after some short time. Just had an LG repaired yesterday for a failed compressor (evaporator coil was full of liquid). Idiot companies that cut corners on parts and then spend more than a brand new fridge on repairs.

I've been keeping an eye out for a bottom freezer fridge with an internal water dispenser. This is normally $2399, and if you look up at Lowes, Best Buy, and Home Depot it's on sale there for $2000. So this is $700 cheaper than those locations. Plus you get Costco 2 year warranty and return policy. $1400 after tax for me.

Good deal if you don't want through-the-door ice/water. Wish you had out a pic, but I figured as much at this price.

I had a similar issue a couple weeks ago with my LG freezer. But the good thing was LG took care of all the costs (parts and labor) as the compressor was still under warranty. I just had to upload my original receipt to provide the proof. This is a 4 year old fridge and per their warranty agreement, the compressor for this model has 5 years of coverage (parts and labor included).

My refrigerator's space is literally 36"x70". Should I get this size fridge or something smaller so theres space to breath for the back?

Does the one in the OP have a built in ice maker in the top freezer drawer? I am finding conflicting information across various sites.

Some customer review photos show the tray and mention the ice maker.

It is a great deal! It's such a great deal you can easily buy and extended warranty and it's still a great deal.

In the pictures on the Costco page the one showing temperature control does show a max ice button.

So who knows. A Lowe's store near me has it on display, may stop by.

The location I am using this at I don't particularly want one on the outside due to looks. We also have well water, so we don't use filtered water too much through the fridge as our well water tastes great, but it is nice to have the option if we do want it.
