What's a tier 1 brand? As far as I know all the major brands have different tiers of models so you can no longer just go by brand.

Just note. For anyone who is wanting to use this for antenna tv there is no built in TV guide. Must scroll each channel manually and hit info to see what's playing. The tv is capable of showing it but there is no option to do so. Very weird omission from Vizio considering my 10 year old pioneer plasma and my 3 year old Samsung have it but important enough for me to probably not buy another Vizio tv.

I'd go with Vizio as it's a tier 2 brand vs JVC which is a tier 3. Also Costco provides 90 days tech support & return policy, minimum of 2 years warranty, and up to 4% cash back with their CC

Hopefully Vizio has changed the supplier who was providing them with faulty LEDs for the backlight. Their entry level 4K TVs don't last more than 3 or 4 years before the LEDs will cause your screen to look blueish or purplish.

We had this exact same TV and I would stay very far away. Picture was decent but not great. Sound was also decent but we supplemented it with a sound bar. 1 HDMI port failed leaving us with only two. The worst thing by far was the interface which would lock up so bad that the TV sometimes wouldn't even respond unless we held the on-off button and basically soft reset it. I paid $330 on an open box deal last year and was so glad to let it go for a fraction of that.

It's Vizio's own proprietary OS; SmartCast OS.

This or the JVC from Walmart?
Lol. No one should be buying a JVC TV in 2022. The same goes for Philips, RCA or any of those other brands that were popular in the 90s that you don't see anywhere anymore.

Crazy price on this. No brainer if you are looking for a TV as this one is not a cheap entry level even though it's priced like one!

Is there anyway to get the Spectrum App to run on this TV without a separate set top box/roku?

I'm assuming you mean the Hisense U6GR? I would go with Hisense. Has VRR, Dolby audio and better interface.

Full disclosure: I own the Hisense U6GR and only minimal experience with Vizio TVs
