Secret of Mana: A classic, I want it, but looks blurry and a top reviewer says the visuals gives them a headache. Has gamepad support
I'm considering at least one of the others, but curious about gamepad support and if they're worth it (vs playing on original hardware or another console). I played FF Tactics on the GBA and enjoyed it, but battles just took too long imo.

For example, the story is actually really good - you're thrust into the middle of a conflict between medieval kingdoms with lies, deception, and treachery.
The story also keeps things moving, and you don't really need to grind or repeat battles if you don't want to.
The skill system is a little different too, and there are no rules or judges.
I played it on the iPad with touch controls, it was delightful! Way better than I was expecting.
And if you've played the original FFT but not the War of the Lions re-release, it's worth it. I think the new translation is much better and does a better job of explaining and engaging you in the ongoing conflict.
Also, a bummer that some of them don't support cloud saves.

Trials of Mana Remake for 10.99.

This is probably one of the best on the list.
I and my kids really enjoyed this game on PC and even consider getting it on mobile again...
Note they did not include native controller support but some reviewers said touch control works fine. I think for 10.99 it is a very good deal given how good the remake is, it looks really pretty and I'm surprised it can even run smoothly on phones.
But there's no controller support. This is a game NOT optimized for touch. It'll literally give you carpal tunnel. I'd strongly advise against it.
I also had a lot of issues with cloud saving. I basically quit using it entirely because it was too unreliable.
