I received my refurbished 77 yesterday. The TV is in great condition, no dents, or marks on the screen or other places. It was in original box. Mounted and run flawlessly. My TV has 480 hours of usage when I received. It took them a week to ship and deliver.

So I went from a Vizio P65 from 2015 with full array local diming. It was in a room with 6 windows 2 per wall with the third wall nothing except the door to the kitchen. I had no issue with watching during the day.

Upgrading to the C1 77 I didn't lose anything as well. If anything it's better. The blacks being so much more black the rest of the colors pop doesn't matter if full sun in the room. Nonissue with brightness. I also seem to have less glare during day time viewing. 100% recommend the C1.

About what I thought. I've had 65 Sony a8h, 65 LG CX, and 48 c1 in bedroom. When I had LG CX and Sony a8h next to each other the Sony colors were just better no matter what settings I used on the CX, especially on older content

I spent weeks looking at the Sony vs the Lg and I can't tell the difference. Maybe if I had both in the same room playing the exact same video maybe… so I'd say go with the one that's cheaper. As to burn in Would only use the OLeD for movies and shows. I'd stay away from the news (for other reasons not just burn in lol) and not to much game play.

If I had this deal when I got my C1 I would get the Sony. For me it's the price I think both TVs will be great. And most likely better than the one you are replacing otherwise why would you be replacing lol

If you mostly watch SDR content then the Oled will be great, if you watch HDR the Samsung will be significantly better.

This could not be more wrong. If you even sit at a slight angle the samsung washes out and kills the image quality. Also everybody watches a fair amount of sub 4k content which looks way better on OLED.

At night my oled is pretty eye strainingly bright even with a bias light, I typically have to engage the eye care mode…

Two cents. I bought the x900f refurb (no warranty,I can "figure that out' if I need to) from buydig and it's been great. I know it's a case by case basis, but no problems and it was like new coming from the box

You're correct about DV. I've seen calibrators on AVS calling it's implementation trash. That's not to say that HDR10 is great either, but it's at least better than DV.

DV has also been abysmal on Sony's TV's for a while. Even worse if you're using an external source/streamer

For what it's worth, I've seen BuyDig on AVS mention that they have a close relationship with CPS and that they'll help out if there's any issues.

Someone on there is dealing with them now and it seems to be going okay. Hopefully we'll start seeing more positive results. Cause more useful extended warranties are definitely needed!

If you have a Sony reduce the Peak Luminance setting to Low or Off at night, this feature boosts the white sub Pixel when set to anything other than off

It's important to note its a mess on LG and Sony and more in terms of accuracy but yes that's the general consensus, for the everyday viewer they won't really notice a difference. It is also been figured out a well known calibrator at AVS that Dolby Vision bright is the correct DV picture mode and if using a Apple TV 4K, RBG
High should be used for SDR.
