Upgrading to the C1 77 I didn't lose anything as well. If anything it's better. The blacks being so much more black the rest of the colors pop doesn't matter if full sun in the room. Nonissue with brightness. I also seem to have less glare during day time viewing. 100% recommend the C1.

If I had this deal when I got my C1 I would get the Sony. For me it's the price I think both TVs will be great. And most likely better than the one you are replacing otherwise why would you be replacing lol
They get the same score

In short DV as of today is not properly implemented, therefore that should not be a deciding factor when purchasing a TV.
The QN90A is brighter than the A80J and C1 combined and roughly 1800+ nits in peak windows HDR vs 600 or less on both Oleds.
If you mostly watch SDR content then the Oled will be great, if you watch HDR the Samsung will be significantly better.
Overall they are all great and I mean AMAZING tvs. Oled best in light controlled environments though, I suggest blackout curtains if any windows.

DV has also been abysmal on Sony's TV's for a while. Even worse if you're using an external source/streamer
Someone on there is dealing with them now and it seems to be going okay. Hopefully we'll start seeing more positive results. Cause more useful extended warranties are definitely needed!

High should be used for SDR.

edit: also does anyone know if this shares the evo panel from the lg g1 and some c1 models?
