Yes it is. I have the exact same model that I got as a forced purchase through a Newegg GPU bundle/shuffle. Newegg emailed me about there being an issue with this PSU. I have not heard back from the in regards to it though.

Not sure how much the improved manufacturing - and it begs the question if they really have addressed all the problems - why not change the model number to reflect that.
