I own the 4TB version of this drive. The SLC cache is indeed an issue for writes, in particular low queue depth random writes. No problem with read speeds, but if I could go back in time, I'd pick up a 4TB MX500.

They certainly do!

Terrible speeds from this QLC drive when the SLC cache runs out.

Tons of folks saying its for low end work only, and they returned it.

That seems to be the ongoing troubles with QLC. Slow, not very durable, but it's cheap?

I learned from the WD Green NVME drive with the horrible TBW.

Might be time to wait on a newer flash tech. SSD's with planned obsolescence built in aren't my thing.
