Ended up getting 2 $50 gift cards for $72 and change after all discounts applied with red card, sweet deal if you're planning to shop / eat at these places

here are the eligible cards [target.com]; the promotion is currently being applied twice, making it buy 1, get 1 ~47% off (it's not quite buy 1, get 1 50% off because the discounts aren't being applied simulatneously)

edit: they fixed the promotion, now buy 1, get 1 25% off

I think he/she is talking about the current 5% cashback bonus with Discover and not using your Redcard at all
