This is the type of game you can play off and on for a long time (like Minecraft). Not having to switch carts when playing other games is nice. I've had physical cart since launch, but I'm tempted to get digital as well for convenience.

I was annoyed by this until I sold about a dozen GameCube games for around $500 a few years back. Totally changed how I think about buying games.

Just chiming in that it is a great game, especially therapeutic during the start of the pandemic (but the pandemic isn't over people). I played the .nsp file on a hacked switch, but would like to get a physical copy if it drops to $30 so I can play online.

New horizons is superior in most aspects of the game… one thing I do miss from the original that is lacking from this one is the sass and sheer brutal responses and conversations some characters had. I imagine a lot of it would probably be frowned upon now but it sure as hell made me gasp and laugh out loud.
