Walmart sells Hyper brand e-bikes. They can sometimes be found on sale for $400. But you're right, this bike's motor is twice as powerful, and the bike comes with integrated lights and disk brakes, which the lower priced Hyper ones don't have.

I am very interested in this bike. But why you think it's shilly? It's being sold by the company on their site. Just want to ensure I don't get a lemon.

Gotrax uses LG branded batteries in the escooter line. It is a gamble for sure if that is carried over to the ebike line. I own a G4 scooter and had no issues other than a paint chip that came from the factory. Support would not help with cosmetic issues only hardware.
tldr: inexpensive not a bad way to go for a starter bike
