Great price for a 2tb for PC or laptops or an external storage in enclosure.

Obviously won't work for PS5 before anyone asks and couldn't bother to spend 30 seconds of their worthless time googling it.

With SSDs, we're at a point of diminishing returns. It's hard to spot the real world difference between the best SSDs and budget SSDs except for things like read/write durability and capacity.

This video will demonstrate it better than I can explain it. Linus Tech Tips did a blind comparison with 3 identical systems, with only the SSD types being swapped out. People couldn't really tell the difference if they weren't pulling out a stopwatch or using a benchmarking tool.

Actually maybe like two to three years ago and before that, 1Tb Nvme was like near $200 lol.

I just popped a 500gb P5 into an enclosure and I could probably fry a tiny rectangular quail egg omelet on it during file transfers. Doesn't throttle though. 👍

Great drive, and this is about as cheap as I've ever seen it.

💡After you get it installed make sure you enable the cache to really get the best performance.

Recently got 1TB Samsung 980 for same price. Is this equivalent or inferior. I am casual gamera, less than 10 hrs per month and I only use my PC to browse mostly.

Yes, NVME has more lanes and much better throughout than your typical SSD. NVME are SSD, but not all SSD are NVME. The old SSDs used a SATA 3 interface which is limited to 600MB/sec because of the limitations of the SATA interface. There are gen 4 NVME drives which are faster than this generation, but if you've used the older SATA interface SSDs, you know that they made spinning drives look like turtles, even though limited at 600MB/sec (spinning drives couldn't hit that limit anyway). NVME drives will smoke the older SSDs. For a typical PC user, this is plenty fast, and your daily use will never need the speed this is capable of. Great deal on a great product, IMHO.
