Step 1) Buy LG V30 on eBay for $50 in flawless condition

Step 2) Root it and install Android 11 on it

Step 3) Enjoy all the features it has that are better than the Nord N200

Step 4) Instead of buying a yearly plan for ~$15/month through an MVNO, pay T-Mobile ludicrous amounts for their garbage plans so you can get a statement credit and a new Oneplus Nord N200.

Hard pass.

You'll still have to pay shipping and tax on the new phone. Comes out to $20-$30 depending on your sales tax. Just FYI

OP, learn how to post. You've been here since 2015.
That description comes directly from T-Mobile. Not to argue semantics but I described in my post that bill credits are involved. T-Mobile calls a lot of device promotions Free after trade in. I understand the wording is not to your liking. But you are criticizing me for language that is typically used in Slickdeals which does not seem fair. Is this the first time you've seen this deal described as free after trade in and with bill credits? I am not trying to misrepresent the promotion. Please read my entire post for details if you are confused about how it works.

Fix your title. You don't even mention T-Mobile or the 24 months. It's NOT "free."
The title is: T-MOBILE: Free OnePlus Nord N200 after Trade in (any undamaged, functioning cell phone) via 24 mo bill credits

We can't help you if you can't read.

MrSkeptic, per your kind suggestion, I have updated the title to address the issues you so politely complained about.

As you said, I've been on SD since 2015, I haven't posted much since then for fear of unkind words from others. I have only started posting again recently since I wanted to give back and share what deals I can find to the SD community from whom I have learned so much from.

I know that I am prone to unintentional errors and while I welcome any feedback to improve myself, I would appreciate a more respectful and polite way of providing such feedback. I'll have to think twice before posting anything again for fear of offending someone else. Perhaps this is an error of perception on my part, if so, I apologize if I am overreacting. I hope I was able to update the title to your satisfaction.

Help me understand why ? they give you the credit for 24 months and it'll subtract from the total cost. you end up paying 0$ . the only catch is that you have to stay with them 24 months. if you're planning to stay with them 24 months then would this be a good deal?

So, has anyone successfully traded in an old phone under "Z5g Upgrade Promo All Carriers" as the device? Not working for me as I mentioned earlier (device condition page), curious if it works at all.

Just relax. SD is big forum. There's bound to be more than one a55h0le around.

Thanks for the info. I don't think it's for me, but I still appreciate it

Is Nokia very old small phone (power up ok) eligible?

thx

Last time I did this deal I traded in an old flip phone. Should just have to turn on and not have a cracked screen and it should be good. YMMV but give it a try.

Yes, and it's waterproof. Phone still works great, and if you root it you can run builds of Android 12. I prefer to stay on 10/11 though - more functionality.

I have a Motorola G7 Play on a prepaid with T-Mobile. They sent me a txt saying I have until July 1st to trade in my 3G cp with IMEI xxxx for a free 5G One Plus N200. I went to the store and walked away with an N200. It was a hassle-free, cost-free, no-contract trade-in experience.

You can not unlock the phone until the full amount is paid off... either wait 24months or pay off early for those who want to unlock any Tmobile phone on payment plan
