Step 1) Buy LG V30 on eBay for $50 in flawless condition

Step 2) Root it and install Android 11 on it

Step 3) Enjoy all the features it has that are better than the Nord N200

Step 4) Instead of buying a yearly plan for ~$15/month through an MVNO, pay T-Mobile ludicrous amounts for their garbage plans so you can get a statement credit and a new Oneplus Nord N200.

Hard pass.

You'll still have to pay shipping and tax on the new phone. Comes out to $20-$30 depending on your sales tax. Just FYI

Agreed. That's what I've been using it for from the last deal. My kids have yet to break one though. My younger daughter almost broke the screen but seems like the screen protector saved it. So the ones we got from last year are still going strong. And even if they do break it, I won't feel bad too much about since it only cost me taxes, shipping and the price of the $10 Tracfone I traded-in last year.

If you have Magenta Max, note that you can currently trade in the OnePlus N200 for the OP10 and OP9 devices and get $600 trade-in value (no AAL required, but MagentaMax required). For the OP N200s I got last year, I actually plan to trade-in for the OP9 and then use the OP9 to trade it in for an iPhone 13/14 later in the year when the next iPhone promo is available without an AAL requirement. This might be too many hoops for others but figured I'd share in case you're interested in looking into it.
Sorry but what is AAL?

Lol, some of us pay less than $15 per line for Magenta Max. So for me, everything you said above is garbage. I grab these "free with any trade" phones just to have as backup or to use as wifi devices around the house. Since I'm on MMax, and not an MVNO, I also grab free with trade flagship phones as well. Since I feel I have a good deal on my plan, I never go griping about bill credits or being locked down for 24 months. . .as it doesn't matter to me
eh the closest I can find is 15 per ADDITIONAL line after the first and that's only if you have 3+ lines. So this is pretty dishonest.

I have a flip phone, Tracfone Alcatel A405DL that I want to trade in but it's not in the list. I was able to trade in this exact model of flip phone last year when they had a similar promo like this. Does anybody know if there's a way to submit the info of this flip phone though it's not in the list? Thanks in advance.

I successfully did this before but it was a huge hassle. That said I am logged into my tmobile account, and the only option I see is to add a line. It does not allow me to pair to a current line I have with tmobile. Does anyone have any suggestions? I do love a good backup phone.

I have been using the N200 for about 1.5 years. Does everything I need it to do. I never buy the latest and greatest expensive phones.
This phone was release less than a year ago. lol

I have similar but on the One plan. I just don't see anyway the math adds up to get $15 a line on Magenta Max. I have One plan (8 lines One Plus free promo) with 9 lines, 3 free and the 20% hookup code applied and I'm at $126 before kickback kicks in or $14/line. Magenta Max is a much higher cost than the One plan. He either has almost every line free or the math is off as there's no kickback on Magenta Max. You also lose any promos switching plans. I definitely believe they're at $15/line average, but on Magenta Max?
Some people have 2 paid lines and 7 free lines, so the discounts add up. Now you can move from One to Magenta Max and keep all your promos. Just need to make sure the rep does the transfer correctly.
I have 12 lines right now, and pay about $125 with Netflix.

I struggled with this last night as well, but there is a way to do it. On the N200 phone page, click the button near the bottom that says "Upgrade my line". The next few pages will ask which device you want to upgrade, and ask if you want to trade in that device. Presuming you're not trading in your current phone, keep clicking on the "Want to trade-in a different device?" and "Got a different phone?" links below the selections.

Eventually, you'll come to a page where you can enter info about the device you want to trade in.

Account analysis have been detailed in the Insider and Free Line threads. Accounts with 9+ lines can easily get below the $15 per line mark, below $8 per line is the real target. The discounts add up in favor of the consumer, but may not be as intended. None of these deals are available currently.

I have 9 lines on max and pay $10.66 per line. The trick was picking up all the free lines in the last 2 years. I have 6 free lines and with the new insider my bill is $96 a month.

Once you move to a 9 line plan the free line credits increase to $40, from $30,which depending on how many free lines you have drops the bill $10 each.

For me on Magenta Max 9 lines is $360 (after auto pay) - $240(6 free lines) = $120 - $24(20% off insider) = $96 total. If I had the old insider, I would only be paying $48 for 9 lines because of how the discount order is applied.

Either way. There are people out there with the old simple choice or One plans that pay less than $3-4 a line.

Just did this on the revvl came out to about 50 per phone. They do charge a upgrade of $30 and tax per phone. I traded in a sprint phone and a flip phone.

What happens to the free credits if one cancels T-Mo service? Do I have to pay back for the phone?

If I decided to give away or sell this phone, would I have to pay off the EIP first? Would the IMEI be locked until it's paid off?
