Step 1) Buy LG V30 on eBay for $50 in flawless condition

Step 2) Root it and install Android 11 on it

Step 3) Enjoy all the features it has that are better than the Nord N200

Step 4) Instead of buying a yearly plan for ~$15/month through an MVNO, pay T-Mobile ludicrous amounts for their garbage plans so you can get a statement credit and a new Oneplus Nord N200.

Hard pass.

You'll still have to pay shipping and tax on the new phone. Comes out to $20-$30 depending on your sales tax. Just FYI

Under "Check Order Status" on the website (https://my.t-mobile.com/myphone/checkorder.html), the order has two parts. The second part is "Trade-In Device", and there's an option there for "Print Shipping Label" that has the label and instructions.
The link is blank for me, when I click on it it's also not showing anything on the browser...? I've tried Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome browers.

Lol, some of us pay less than $15 per line for Magenta Max. So for me, everything you said above is garbage. I grab these "free with any trade" phones just to have as backup or to use as wifi devices around the house. Since I'm on MMax, and not an MVNO, I also grab free with trade flagship phones as well. Since I feel I have a good deal on my plan, I never go griping about bill credits or being locked down for 24 months. . .as it doesn't matter to me
Hey I'm curious how do you pay 15$ per line that is to on the Magenta Max?

That Check Order Status page when logged on hasn't worked for me also since last year.

Try the link below. Just enter the order number, your last name and billing zip code. Do not log into your account.

I used that link and the same thing happened - keeps giving me a blank link. I ended up asking Tforce for a label sent to my email. Thanks though Smilie

Yeah, I really wanted to like the V50, but anything custom on it generally slogged. Only area my V30 is lacking is camera - battery even lasts longer on the V30 than the V50 despite it being bigger on the V50. 5G made no noticeable difference from LTE.

It's a shame there's almost no phone manufacturers that include headphone jack and microsd. I really want to like the Oneplus, but after my Nexus 5X died I swore I'd never have a phone without microsd. The Xiaomi redmi looks nice, but not waterproof.
Yeah, I'll keep using the V50 for a while because it meets my needs and I have no real complaints about it (other than that it seems unnecessarily heavy). But the V30 still performs pretty much identically. The V50's 5G capabilities seem pretty useless where I am.

I think I'm stuck with Verizon for now, unfortunately, since T-Mobile stinks at my house, and AT&T is weak here, too. Too bad, I liked Mint and other MVNOs when I live elsewhere. I was also someone who demanded a headphone jack and microSD but I think I can finally live without either. 128GB seems to be enough for me (I do pack a lot of music onto my phones though), and I've recently transitioned over to bluetooth headphones pretty much fulltime. The audio quality of LG phones was a big deal for me, and the reason the ZTE Axon 7 was my only non-LG since the Optimus G and Nexus 4 came out. So I'll have to move on eventually, but not just yet. I just don't want to pay a silly Samsung premium and don't care for their interface.

I have the A32, anything you like better on the A32 over the n200?
A32 might have a better camera, but I like the screen and the thinness of N200. Their screens are also the same size (N200 is a tiny bit smaller), but N200 feels a lot smaller in hand. I also do not like that A32 has too much "Samsung" with the interface. Samsung is better with updating the OS, and that's a plus for A32. Also, A32 might also support more bands than N200 (or RevvlV+), which might be important for some. I can see some people prefer A32 over N200. Revvl V+ is good if you just want a big screen but that's about it. The screen is very grey when it should be black.

This is actually a good review of A32 vs. N200. Link [xda-developers.com]

Hah! I had an Axon 7 after my Nexus 5x died. Loved that phone, but the battery doesn't last long and I had to swap mine out. Then I broke something when doing custom roms and didn't feel like figuring it out.

I'll probably end up getting a phone that doesn't have either but I don't want to compromise. I only like the microSD for backup purposes in case my phone dies.

I don't know why but the bluetooth output in my car sucks. If I stick with headphone jack it's pretty awesome. Stock speakers are kinda garbage though.

Verizon wasn't bad when I had it, just expensive.

Are you sure it's ANY smart phone? I can't trade in my Huawei Tracphone because it's not listed. Is there an option for generic phone?

Call T-Mobile. I was able to trade in a old unlocked ZTE 3G phone. 1st rep didn't have a clue so after 15 mins on hold I hung up. 2nd rep was great. I took her name and id number just to make sure if I have any issues. Mil is going to be so happy with the big upgrade on mothers day. lol I was going to give her the wife's 6T and give the Nord to the wife but she hates changing phones. She had a Note 4 for many yrs. I've had 7pro for a few yrs. Still a great phone. Funny Mil 1st smartphone that's 5G and we don't have that. I'm wanting a foldable phone for something different but so pricey.

Did a lot of research and settled on this phone after my pixel 2XL stop getting updates. Got the Nord in 200 64 GB unlock on eBay used for $89 all that was wrong and had a cracked back case. Nothing a little two-part epoxy can't fix. Still got 2 years of updates. Pretty good bang for your buck I have pretty good luck with damaged phones. I got my pixel 2 XL for $50 the Last of Me about two years still works like new I just don't trust the root process otherwise I would still use it.

I'm not able to trade in a CDMA phone with a MEID instead IMEI on their website. Called T-mobile but they couldn't waive the $30 fee if they order for me even though it is not my fault I couldn't do it on their website.

You can do it in-store. Or you can place the order online and ship out your trade-in. I opted for the online order myself and mailed out the trade-in. As others have said, you still have to pay for shipping and taxes online. If you do this in-store, you'll pay taxes and probably the $30 customer assistance fee.
Hi, May I know what is the process for ordering online? Do you have to finish the trade in, then order the phone? Or the trade in will show up when you order it? One more question, how if the phone for trade in is functioning, but 0 trade in value? Thanks

I actually wasn't able to do the online order on my own because of website issues. I contacted Tforce and they placed the order for me. And older phones will like have $0 trade in value (mine did), and that's ok. This means the promotional credit will be the full value of the phone spread into 24 months (i.e., $9/mo) so that it still comes out free.
