This was $14.99 back in Dec 2021. Not the lowest price ever. Just an FYI

This game is ok with kids but even they got bored after awhile. Mine are 7 and 10. I think it's well worth the $15-$20 though.

Was thinking about getting the switch for my elementary school age kids. Why would this be better in digital vs physical copy?

Echoing what others have said... This is a lot of fun with younger kids because you can adjust the difficulty settings for each player so it's still challenging for both players.

I prefer digital so I don't have to swap between cartridges like a NES. Some prefer the physical for resale value. I've only sold one of my games so resale isn't on my radar. Sometimes my switch complains about the cartridge and I have to remove, insert, remove and insert like back in the NES days. I really hate dealing with that. I'd rather just go digital and bypass re-living the 90s.

I still don't get why the digital price doesn't come down with the physical.

There's zero packaging and zero logistics required, so it's less costly to sell. Plus, it's locked to the user's account, so there's less competition in aftermarket sales.

Physical copies take up space. If they need that space for new items coming in, they need to clear out old stock.

Fair point, but we're also talking about big box stores and Amazon.

They could throw these away and still be profitable, because they have no sunk cost fallacy.

Surplus is also how stores like Big Lots get their inventory.
