Costco's deal may be better if you need two. Two toothbrushes + 5 heads for $60.

In for one, I mean it's not solely for kids so no one will know that I'm using a kids toothbrush, right? I like the cartoons and I'm sure the app will provide entertainment. 😝 I'll keep it next to my bottle of Children's aspirin and refills of watermelon scented shampoo.

$30 for these isn't much of a deal unless you need it now. If it were $20 though, I would bite and keep a spare one on hand. The whole family uses the kids model, they are basically the same as the other models in terms of doing a good job brushing your teeth and have a lithium battery.

My 4yo hates the vibration but puts up with it to get gifts for her "sparkly." Can't speak for older kids, but brushing meltdowns went from like 3 per week to once per month.

The default brush size and toothbrush are massive. 4 year old not a fan. Can totally see how adults use it. I did buy smaller brush heads that are more appropriate.

5 y/o laughs the whole time and does enjoy the app. 8 y/o likes the app too. It's annoying having to always have an app so that they brush their teeth, but it holds them to the whole time (and even works them into it slowly). They actually brush their teeth much longer than I do because of it!

Agreed on the brush size— I think the minimum age for the one it comes with should be 7 (or a large 6 y/o)

This is a little misleading but maybe not that important--the kid models have "extra gentle to get used to brushing" and "gentle because we are still convincing kids that brushing your teeth is fun and harmless" modes. The "normal" brushes are "normal mode/intensity" and some have settings like "can be used to scrub through industrial grease".

My point is that these are fine, but they aren't the same.

Yes it's great. You say go brush your teeth and they take a tablet and come back 2 min later. It times them and tells them where to move the brush AND doesn't require them to do the brushing motion. My kids are 6 and 9 and it has really improved our dental routine. They get excited bc of the app and the fun stuff in it.
