Looks like the lowest price the black finish comfort grip version of the plier wrench has been (and pretty much the same as the previous lowest price for the silver comfort grip).

The non-comfort grip one has been to about $35 before, so might be worth waiting if you don't need to comfort grip.

This is absolutely true. I'm a low voltage technician, and this is easily the most versatile and useful tool in my pouch (although I carry the regular, red-handled ones). It's the only tool that I constantly come up with new uses for. It's pricey, but worth every penny.

Not really, Amazon mixes their own supplies with 3rd party vendors as far as I understand it. So definitely NOT guaranteed to be authentic

These pliers are great replaced all my wrenches almost. Are these the newest updated version to the chrome ones? Knipex tools (only have less than 10) have always impressed me. Even the extra small cobras are great.

Just chiming in to say these are awesome. Picked up a pair in this size off Woot a few years ago thinking they might come in handy every now and then, and they've become one of my most used tools. May pick up the 10in version at some point but if I had to pick one size it would definitely be this one.

Looks dead now, but I usually check throughout the day and for the next few days as sometimes the price drops down again.
